Who Bound is for
Bound is a legal recruiting firm for US law firms of roughly 5 to 200 attorneys: regional firms, growing boutiques, specialist practices, and mid-market full-service firms. It works only in legal, and it recruits at every level of a law firm, from paralegals and legal professionals to lateral partners and whole practice groups.
One person runs each search from the first call to the signed offer. There is no rotating team, no junior handoff, and no automated pipeline. Bound keeps a database of partner contacts tagged by practice area, and a candidate is introduced only to partners whose practice matches. Bound is run by its founder, Jim Knott.
Bound also works with attorneys and legal professionals directly. It costs candidates nothing, and a resume goes to a firm only with approval for that specific firm.
